Spencer Ballard has dedicated his life to helping people. He is well known in the industry, especially in Central and Southern California. You would be hard-pressed to find someone that has not had an association with him.
In the late 1960s, Mr. Ballard saw the opportunity in the education field. Camlox Industries Inc. is a family-owned business. With the help of his wife Vi Ballard, they helped schools & educators. They did this by protecting their teaching aids and student projects. Soon the word was out as schools & districts came calling for the “neat new laminators”! They started Camlox Industries Inc., and along with laminators, they provided a range of unique teaching aids. Although lamination is the foundation of our products, we continued to evolve. Today we work with the majority of the public school districts and private educators. We service California with a wide range of products and services. Our clients range from corporate and manufacturing to printing and packaging companies. The photo ID card industry has changed, and so have we. Photo ID cards became one of the most practical and common uses for lamination. Lamination offers better protection than exposed paper cards. The industry has evolved from a simple film based paper card stock to more durable multifunctional hard plastic printed ID Cards. Evolution has also included advanced software and powerful card printers. We support our clients with complete Photo ID Card Systems to meet their needs.
